Know new nukes
I just saw this article in American Scientist on compact power reactors for remote locations. This one is a 10 MWe sodium cooled with a 30 year reactor core life. When the fuel is burned up, they plan to remove and replace the core. Fascinating that nuclear power is making a comeback. Additional info is at DOE and

Do you think it’s a good idea for nuclear power to make a comeback. I hear that it’s been very successful in other countries.

I think that climate change from Carbon Dioxide in the atmospher is so dangerous that nuclear power will be necessary, and will make a comeback here in the states.
Nevertheless, the problem of waste remains unsolved, which is its achille’s heel.
